Through a Whirlwind and Back

Wow it’s been so long since I last updated my site but I have good reason I promise you!

February and March were a whirlwind of confusion and adjustment… I left the job I’ve been at for the last 10 years since finishing university and started something new… And I did this during a recession and in the midst of some of the highest unemployment rates my country has ever seen…yes some said it was crazy but my heart never guides me in the wrong direction.

I partnered at a well-known, high-end, engineering firm (I’m a structural engineer by day for those that didn’t know)… It has been a massive adjustment but has also proven to be a welcomed and fulfilling change.

My first few weeks at the new place were baptism by fire because hey you have to dive right in right? I’m too old to be babied (though I did try a little trust me). It has been wonderful to say the least from the amazing family environment right down to the work itself. And it’s “mine”, it’s my company to further develop and flourish. So though my passions were not directed at the easel these past few months they have certainly been put to use. In fact not a day goes by that I don’t tell the universe thank-you for delivering me to this moment!

With all that said and done (or going on rather)… I haven’t been painting as much as I would have liked and free time has been spent catching up on rest and working at my other job (MFI = Mom and Wife Incorporated I like to call it… do you know that company? Apparently it’s worldwide with millions of employees haha).

But I’m back now, I’ve regained a little balance here as my right and left brain struggled for their share… I’ll soon have a few things to share with you as I get back to the easel and begin painting/writing again. So do check back in and I promise you’ll love what you see.
